Sofía is a musical director and pianist based in London. She began her dynamic career in musical theatre across Scotland and has worked with a variety of both independent and regional theatres throughout the UK.
With a strong interest in new writing and telling stories with political messages, Sofía has taken part in the development of new musical theatre as a musical director, composer, arranger, orchestrator, and pianist. She also enjoys a rewarding career as a music teacher, whether that's private instrumental lessons, or group lessons for children and adults in theatre groups.
Sofía began her music education at the Ateneu Musical in her hometown of Villajoyosa, Spain, and completed her professional diploma in classical piano at the Conservatorio José Pérez Barceló (Benidorm) and the Conservatori Liceu (Barcelona). She later read Music and Drama (BA) at Royal Holloway, University of London, graduating with a first-class degree with honours, and she was also awarded a Professional Graduate Diploma in Musical Directing by the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
